What lies beneath the surface of the of the Ocean?  Begin your adventures with The Monterey Dive Center and start you journey with the Open Water Diver course.  Experience the marine life in the Monterey Bay with our experienced and dedicated. In the PADI Open Water Diver Course our instructors will take you through the basics of learning how to scuba dive in the only heated 12ft Deep pool in the Monterey bay.  Once we have developed the skills needed to advance to the open water, you will demonstrate those skills in either the Breakwater or McAbee beach.
At your own pace you can complete the knowledge portion of the PADI Open Water Course and develop the skills needed to enjoy this wonderful sport safely.

    Earning the PADI Open Water Diver Certification is just the the start to your Epic Adventures.  Now you can enjoy fabulous diving destinations and unparalleled adventures.  The next step is to experience through higher training levels to expand you opportunities.


Open Water Diver Program Details

Number of Dives: Five Confined Water Dives and Four Open Water Dives

Knowledge Development: Five sessions

Prerequisites: 10 for Junior Open Water Diver and 15 for Open Water Diver. Good health, reasonable fitness and comfort in the water.

Materials you'll Need: PADI Open Water Crew Pack, PADI Open Water Video or DVD, and Log Book.

Equipment you'll use during the course includes: Mask fins snorkel tank regulator, buoyancy  compensator, submersible pressure gauge and exposure protection as required by the local environment.
